ART Exhibit: Karen Campbell @ The Carrabassett Valley Public Library

You are invited to a Wine & Cheese Reception for a new exhibition of UpCountry Artists' "Nice" President Karen Campbell. Saturday, Dec. 28 from 4:30-6:00 PM, meet Karen and see her latest works at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library and Community Center.

Karen Campbell is a Maine native who enjoyed a creatively encouraged upbringing that led her to design her own line of jewelry. KC’s Jewelry was established in 1987. Karen is also the show director for the UpCountry Artists Homecoming Art Show, now entering its 33rd year on Sugarloaf Mountain, held in the base lodge during peak season and Sugarloaf's Homecoming. It's a guaranteed weekend of beauty and fun.

In September of 2001, feeling the burnout of repetitive jewelry production, Karen turned to watercolor. She has studied with Stan Kierstead, Marni Lawson, Carol Sebold, and Michael Vermette. Karen’s whimsical eye and creative spirit spent years consumed by watercolor.

From watercolor, Karen moved on to encaustic, painting with pigmented wax.  Recently wire has been her medium.

Come check out the many directions of Karen. She also teaches many art classes from pottery to papermaking at her own KC’s Kreativity Center in Carrabassett Valley.

Exhibit Location:

3209 Carrabassett Drive

Carrabassett Valley, ME 04947
