UCA 2019 Scholarship Recipient: Elysia Roorbach

Elysia Roorback

We are please to announce another UCA scholarship recipients for 2019 - Elysia Roorbach. She is an eighteen-year-old actor, singer, dancer, and model and recent graduate of Mt. Blue High School who has grown up in Farmington, Maine.

Following her passions of acting and dance has led her to participate in

local theater productions with Sandy River Players and Mt. Blue Theater Company and train with Dance Express Dance Company in Farmington. In addition, it has required her to travel

elsewhere, including to Maine State Ballet for classes and participating in their annual production of The Nutcracker, and to UCLA to study Acting & Performance for a month the

summer before her junior year. For college, Elysia will be attending the University of California at San Diego and will be double-majoring in Theater & Dance. She is beyond grateful that

Upcountry Artists has been so generous as to contribute to her passion and believe in the exciting future ahead of her.

A film by Noah LePage titled Elysia, in which she stars, was an official selection for the Maine International Film Festival in 2018. The story is about a young girl who travels to the afterlife in search of her mother.

We wish her all the best as she studies to reach her goals and are pleased to be able to play a small part in that.

You can find more about Elysia on her Backstage.com webpage.
